http://w9ray.org Wed, 15 Jun 2011 05:33:32 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.1.3 Hello world! http://w9ray.org/?p=1 http://w9ray.org/?p=1#comments Sun, 27 Feb 2011 22:08:02 +0000 W9Ray http://w9ray.org/?p=1 I became a Tech Class license holder in Feb of  1999, My buddy Kb9tyc showed up at my house and told me he had been studying for his amateur license and i should come with and try also.. so i studied the test book between Cameron and Shell Lake.. needless to say i passed the Novice test but failed the Tech test twice. a few weeks later after actually getting to read the study guide i passed the Tech part of the test and was assigned the callsign KB9UCY.

I applied for a vanity callsign June of 2000 and was granted the call W9RAY..

I passed the General class license test in  March of 2007.. i missed  the extra test by 1 question but that was a fluke, was nowhere near ready for that test, or so i thought.

Over the years, I have added all  vhf and uhf bands 50Mhz through 2304mhz

So now. I am able to  operate equipment on the lower 16 amateur radio bands..

I Like to contest and am interested in the  technical aspects of the hobby.
